Creamy Onion Dip

Growing up, my family would make – what I now call “Classic Onion Dip” by mixing together a packet of dry onion soup mix and some sour cream. The less sour cream you mixed in, the fuller the flavor. My favorite is generally about 8 oz of sour cream. Well, recently I stumbled across an “updated” version that used more sour cream and the addition of mayonnaise. I decided to try it and loved it so much I decided to share it here with all of you.

Creamy Onion Dip

1 packet dry onion soup mix
16 oz sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise

Combine the dry onion soup mix in a medium sized bowl with the sour cream and mayonnaise. Cover and chill.

Serve and store chilled.
