Sheet Pan Mexican French Fries

The trend has come and gone but does anyone else remember “Sheet Pan Suppers”? I have a few of them in my last cookbook and a few on my website. The “Sheet Pan Supper” trend was actually a trend I could get behind because it made everything so easy! It made dinner easy, everything on one pan and clean up easy, everything on one pan. I, for one, still make dinners like this and still have recipes flowing in my head that could benefit from this technique.

One of the recipes that I envisioned has come to life right here and I am sharing it with everyone. This is like a giant nacho supreme but instead of nacho chips, I use french fries! Really, how bad could that be? You could also ditch the fries and use tator tots instead! How incredible would Sheet Pan Mexican Tator Tots be? Yum! Or, you could completely buck my system and make this with a layer of tortilla chips at the bottom! Any way would be delicious!

Sheet Pan Mexican French Fries

Leftovers can be kept covered and chilled for about 2-3 days before warming up

2 bags frozen french fries

2 pounds hamburger, cooked, drained and seasoned with Mexican Taco seasonings

2 tomatoes, diced

2 cups shredded lettuce

2 can refried beans

4 cups shredded Mexican cheese

2 cups salsa

1 cup sour cream

Start off by making the frozen french fries according to their package instructions. I always spray a little non-stick cooking spray on my fries and bake them a little longer so they are super crispy.

Take the hot french fries and place onto a large sheet pan. Top with the prepared hamburger, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, refried beans, shredded Mexican cheese, salsa and sour cream. Sprinkle salt, black pepper and paprika over everything if desired.

Serve right away with chips.
