If you type in the address on your GPS of, “601 N Memorial Drive (State Rd 3 North), New Castle, IN, United States, 47362” you will be taken to the best hot dog place in Henry County. And this place serves more than just hot dogs too. They serve all kinds of things! Like what? Welll, just to name a few they have tenderloins, sloppy joes, pulled pork, chicken salad, hamburger, pizza burger, soups, chicken nuggets, onion rings, fries, cheese curds, broccoli cheddar bites, breaded pickles, breaded mushrooms, cheese curds, nachos and so many more delicious menu items, that I have not even talked about their ice cream yet! They have soft serve, hand dipped, shaved ice, milkshakes and even pup cups for your doggie friends! How many flavors of ice cream do they have? A whole lot more than a popular chain’s 31 different flavors! Did I mention they even have soup there? Year around! I was really impressed with this locals favorited hangout!

Variety of offerings

I grew up with Weenie World in my life and have been there thousands of times. Never once really have I ever had anything there I did not like. This time around I wanted to try a little bit of everything since I would be writing about it. So, I got their famous coney dog with cheese, pizza burger, fries, hash browns, mini corndogs, potato soup and a cookie dough freeze! Yes, put your eyes back in your heads. This was for a column so I wanted to be sure I sampled everything and give them a fair chance. I did the drive through option and got the food, took it home and also wanted to see how it warmed up and tasted after reheating. I have to say it was still really good!

Variety of offerings

Let’s start with the potato soup. This had wonderful flavor! The potatoes were real, the flavor was deep and the overall tastes were super delicious and I was pretty impressed that you could get a soup this good through a fast food window! Next was their cheese coney dog. It was really good! Next time I may leave off the cheese because I really want to get my full experience with the coney sauce. There is no wonder people come from miles and miles and even hours, to get their coney. Words can not really describe the taste other than beefy, warm, sturdy and thick. The next item was their pizza burger. I decided to get something that many people may not even know they offered. This pizza burger was good but everyone makes theirs different. I suggest it if you love the classic cafeteria style, get this! Very similar and just as good as you may remember it.

Moving on to the sides, their fries were delicious. The tator tots were delicious but the mini corn dogs were above average. These were highly flavorful and good quality. I drizzled mine with a little yellow mustard but you could just easily eat these plain. I believe the sleeper hit of the evening though was the potato soup. I would go back for that soup again and again.

Let us not forget either that I also had their version of the popular DQ Blizzard. I actually liked better than the DQ version. Mine was vanilla ice cream with cookie dough. Fresh ice cream and really good flavor! Perhaps the best ice cream I have had since my Grandma made her famous homemade ice cream! Yes, I would highly recommend their ice cream above all else.

What sets Weenie World apart from other ice cream places, aside from their play area and seating in the front, is the toys, games and merchandise they have to offer. If you have not experienced that, go around by their drive up window and look at the merchandise. I love it!

Merchandise

I took a pole on my social media pages about Weenie World and there was not one bad review or comment left out of 79 comments! So many people from the area love and respect this trusted little small town treasure. I highly recommend you stop and visit and tell them hello!
