Kitchen Sink Monster Cookies

I love cookies, as you can tell from my website and the hundreds of recipes listed but every once in awhile I get really craving something that is different than most desserts and cookies and that is exactly what the recipe I am sharing here today with everyone is. It is a cookie, do not get me wrong but it is like a whole dessert in cookie form. There is everything in this cookie that you could possibly want! There is peanut butter, oats, chocolate chips, M&M candies and even crushed potato chips! I know what you may be thinking, “Oh, this is too much, too many ingredients, too many flavors, this would not be good…” and you know, I thought that at first too but let me tell you, not the case!

These cookies are so delicious, you have no idea until you try them! There is something about the soft flavor of the batter mixed with the combination of peanut butter, M&M’s and even the crushed potato chips that really make this a one of a kind cookie! I can not really explain what the crushed potato chip does to the overall baked cookie but it is something magical. It does not taste like potato, instead it tastes like a salty, crunchy, goodness that has been added to the cookie. Try these and see!

Kitchen Sink Monster Cookies

1 stick unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup white granulated sugar

1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup smooth peanut butter

1 large egg

1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 cups quick oats

1 cup white all-purpose flour

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup M&M’s

1/2 cup crushed potato chips

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl combine together the softened unsalted butter, white granulated sugar, packed dark brown sugar and smooth peanut butter.

Beat in the large egg and pure vanilla extract.

Add in the salt, baking soda and baking powder. Stir until everything is combined.

Beat in the quick oats and white all-purpose flour.

Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and M&M’s.

Fold in the crushed potato chips.

Place tablespoon size amounts onto prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.

Gently press each cookie down with clean hands.

Bake, one sheet at a time, in preheated oven for 14 minutes.

Remove, cool and enjoy!

Ask and Answer: I have had several people ask me about tips and tricks on how to keep your brown sugar soft. Honestly, I have tried all ways, from wet paper towels to special containers and I 100% would recommend one of the clay “brown sugar savers”. You can buy them online and they last forever. You soak them in water overnight, dry them off and throw them into your brown sugars. Works every time!
