Chocolate Covered Pretzels
No, I have not “jumped the shark” by yet again sharing a pretty simply and foolproof recipe. I am sharing these because I want to share them with you, I think they deserve to have their print time and I have literally had people write to me and request some of the simplest of recipes. So, cut me some slack. Plus, I have been remodeling where I live, where I bake, had a wreck involving a deer, had a wreck involving a rental car on my way back from Chicago, my Grandpa Junior passed away and a couple of my older elder friends have passed. 2026 has been a trying time already, let me tell you! So, if I want to write and share about chocolate covered pretzels, show me a little grace and just enjoy the recipe ok!? Ha!
These are really delicious and if I am being totally honest, I have used all types of chocolate and my favorite for these are actually cheap almond bark! Yes, I guess it is not as “cheap” as it used to be but it is a cheaper chocolate. I am not sure why I prefer the almond bark, perhaps because it reminds me more of my childhood and the candy that my Grandma Barbra and I used to make? Maybe. Either way, it is delicious and I highly recommend you try it.
Chocolate Covered Pretzels
4 cups chocolate of your choice
1/2 cup white chocolate candy
24 pretzel rods
Start by lining several large baking sheets with parchment paper.
Melt the chocolates in large microwave safe bowls, stirring often until smooth.
Using a spoon to help guide and layer on chocolate, dip pretzel rods into melted chocolate, covering them 3/4 of the way up.
Lay carefully on parchment paper.
Finish the chocolate dipping and then go back and drizzle on the white chocolate.
Allow to sit at room temperature for 2 hours.
Store these in a plastic storage container.
Enjoy!
